Businesses strive to protect the consumer citizen — just as long as it does not negatively affect business’s bottom line.

Many businesses prefer profits over the people they are dependent upon for purchases, and over principles like the Golden Rule. In just about every business sector, be it transportation, energy, banking and finance, food, medicine, toys, household goods or hospitalization, enterprise disdains regulation even after a major disaster occurs. People get killed. Big Business chief executive officers tell lies, half truths and are not forthcoming in response to Congressional or media inquiry.
